Extra MSA Group is a leading long-term investment owner and operator of Motorway Service Areas (MSAs).

Warrington MSA will meet a Public Safety Need initially identified by Highways England and will combine world-class design with a range of ancillary food & beverage, retail and hotel facilities.

Before the submission of the planning application, we undertook public consultation on our draft plans and hundreds of local residents attended the public exhibitions to share their thoughts on the proposals and speak with the project team.

Following submission of a planning application, a wide range of statutory bodies have been consulted on the planning application including the Environment Agency, Natural England and Highways England, all of whom have confirmed they have no objections to the Proposals.

You can access all background planning application information on the Warrington Borough Council website by clicking here.

Warrington MSA J11 M62 will combine world-class design with a complementary wide range of popular Food & Beverage, Ancillary Retail and Leisure ‘brands’, together with facilities for the adjacent employment area.

The proposals will deliver a number of key benefits for the local community and wider area.

MSAs are an essential part of the National Motorway Network infrastructure and exist to support the safety and welfare of users of the Network.
